Look at each number sentence.  write the ones that are correct in the box.

8 + 9 = 17

17 - 5 = 12

16 - 5 = 11

Do two Education City activities in Language Arts.  One should come from Reading: Literature and one should come from Reading: Informational Text.

HOMEWORK 5-1-13

I'm sorry for last night's "glitch".  Computer issues...got to love them!

As we begin our study of fractions, we begin by identifying shapes that are divided into equal parts and those that are divided into non-equal parts.  Go to Equal Parts to practice this skill.

Also, go to Education City, 1st grade mathematics.  It is in the Geometry section.  Play Ready, Set, Bake!

After that, play Math Lines 10.  In this game, students think quickly to make sums of 10 to keep the marbles from advancing.  Begin with 10, but then change the intensity of the game by increasing the sums (see the options above the game board).
