We are learning about plants in class. We have examined the parts of a lima bean seed and are attempting to grow lima beans in a bag in our class window (ask your child to tell you about the activity). We also have one bag without water, but placed in the window. We have another bag in our dark closet; this one has water, but no light. Soon we will be talking about the parts of plants and the role each one plays in the life of a plant.

I learned that if you don't give it that much sunlight, it will die. If you put too much water, it will get too cold. I discovered that if you give it too much heat, it will die.

I learned after playing the game that you had to be really careful with the amounts of water and heat to keep the plant alive.
If you gave the plant too much water its roots would be swamped.
If you gave it too much heat it would stop growing.
If you didn't give it enough heat it would stop growing.
If you kept the heat and water in balance it would grow to its full height.

Grace said, if you give the plant to much water it will over water it & die. If you give it to much heat it will shrivel and die. Not enough water will make it die, too. Plants need plant food, some sun and a little bit of water to grow healthy~
