HOMEWORK 1-10-13

In class we have been working with two digit numbers and building tens and ones.  Tonight's homework works on this skill.

First, go to Education City.  Go to the math section and select Aqua Cubes.  Watch the lesson and complete the activity.

Next, play Shark Numbers.

Last, complete the COMMENT BOX assignment.

COMMENT BOX:
Greg has toy cars.  He has 7 boxes of cars.  Each box has ten cars in it.  How many cars does he have?  Explain.

You may answer in the box or send the answer to school on paper.

He has 70 cars because you count by 10s seven times and there are 7 boxes and 10 in each box. That is how I know it is 70.

Please make sure if you are using a multiplication number sentence that you understand what it means.
