Read each one. Encourage your child to read as many words as s/he can, but support your reader as needed. Students should know the "trick words" and be able to tap and read short vowel words as well as the words family words we have studied. Read further to find the COMMENT BOX activity.

The Fox says that he does not want to eat the Gingerbread Man, he doesn't even look that tasty. So the fox and the Gingerbread man laid down to take a nap and a cat came along and ate the Gingerbread man up.

version 1 has a pig and version 2 has a chicken.
version 1 the fox helps the gingerbread man across the river before he eats him.

they both have a cow, a horse, and a fox.
they both have the run run as fast as you can song.

Writes new ending.
The gingerbread girl and the gingerbread baby come and says to the sly fox "look at that squirl!!" And they save the gingerbread man. The gingerbread baby almost got snapped but he turns to the fox and says "run! run! as fast as you see! you can't catch us we're the gingerbread family!!!!"
