CHALLENGE
Today in class we were talking about how we live in Dare County. One of the students asked, "Why is it called Dare County?" Excellent question! Therefore, it is our challenge question of the week. Research why our county is named Dare County and either bring in the answer on a piece of paper OR submit it to the COMMENT BOX for a challenge prize! :-)

Dare County was named for Virginia Dare, the first English child born in America.
